5/8/24 - (Draft - Hop Butcher For The World Taproom) (Chicago, IL) - $8.82 16 oz draft pour into a Nonic glass. 6.5% Hazy IPA. Uber-Crushable, bright citrus haze, designed with drinking on a boat in mind - A Collaboration with our friends at Wendella Boats!
Appearance: Orange juice colored base, creamy white head leaves generous thin lacing throughout, a a razor thin cover over the base. 4.0
Aroma: Dank pine and citrus, a bit Tangish, mild in strength. 3.75
Taste: Neutral to slightly sweet tang citrus flavor. Not much else, a one note offering, though I am enjoying. 3.5
Mouthfeel: Slightly dry, drinks consistent with the ABV. Light to mild body, tangish taste exceeding at times the flat line bitterness. Pretty middle of the road in terms of sensation, orange tic tac finish. 3.75
Overall: Wanted to try as I don’t think I’ll be taking a boat tour soon. This is an introductory light, easy down the middle craft NEIPA beer to those who may be taking a boat cruise and looking for a light and easy refreshing NEIPA. Enjoying, but will reach for others in their catalog in the future, unless possibly I find myself on a boat tour along the Chicago River in the future. It’s good for what it is. 3.5
