A barrel-aged blend of epically tropical proportions, derived from a big ole stout aged in rum, banana mead and bourbon barrels and then conditioned on toasted coconut, Madagascar vanilla and pineapple soft serve.

Poured from a 12oz can into a rocks glass. Pours a thick pitch black. No foam head to speak of save for a mocha brown collar around the rim of the glass. Rich chocolate, vanilla, light but sweet coconut with hints of sweet fruit. The fruit is super light here (trust me I would say if it wasn’t as i hate fruit in stouts) with the spirit barrel presence also on the lighter side. It’s complex though and super drinkable. Not overly sweet. I get more chocolate than anything with coconut and vanilla following. The fruit addition / barrels kind of cuts that sweetness and it works. Medium-full mouthfeel. Slick and coating. This is certainly the sum of its parts. I had my extreme doubts about this one but wow was I ever wrong about that. Killer stuff.

Milk chocolate covered banana, vanilla-coconut, a hint of pineapple, and a bourbon barrel boozy nose on this one! Taste follows with a sweet chocolate and honey, banana and pineapple tropical fruity, creamy coconut, and a vanilla-bourbon and rum barrel finish. Whoa! A lot going on here but it is really smooth and works. This is good stuff!
