Black appearance.
A rough pour yielded a small, noisy dark tan head which quickly dissipated; minimal lacing remained.
Apple, wood, chocolate syrup, mild smoke & a hint of bourbon heat notes in the nose.
Thick, sticky mouthfeel.
Smoked applewood, chocolate syrup & bourbon heat flavors.
Sweet, sticky & hot, this was a tough slog to get through. There is some wood notes, which is rare in this kind of syrup-y stout, but not enough to make me recommend it.
