Poured from a 16oz can into a Narrow Gauge Willi Becher pint glass. Pours a medium brown with two fingers of wet sand colored foam head. Citrus and pine up front on the nose. Figured this would be hopped to heck and back. It works though. As it warms it gives off a faint citrusy coffee aromas. I like this one the nose a little better than the taste. It doesn’t taste bad but it’s a little on the bitter side for a brown ale for me. Medium-full mouthfeel leaning a little thinner and well carbonated. Finishes a little watery. Solid brown ale, although it’s new age and drinks like watered down black IPA. Brown APA? Is that a new style coming..

Aroma is toasted/slightly nutty malts and piney/mild citrus hops. The flavor is fruit/citrus, nutty malts and a piney/slightly surprising bitter hop finish.

Poured into pint glass. Nice beige head declines to a persistent ring. Beautiful brown color.
Caramel and roast forward nose.
Taste follows, but maaaan those hops. Pervasive yet well balanced. Cascade and Saaz doing it right.
Wet wet mouth. Juicy for a brown w/o being watery.
I usually prefer a sweeter, English type brown and find most American breweries abuse the hops in them. Here, the hops are the big attraction and really add to the profile. They tell me you are brown ale, and I believe them.
