So, this is the 19th different IPA from Hop Butcher that I’ve sampled, and I want to review this individually rather than as yet another delicious beer from one of my favorite breweries. There is a beautifully juicy citrus bouquet, and is absolutely hazy and chewy. The taste is just what you’d expect, and although it’s a DIPA, the essentially sweet and citrusy character isn’t overwhelmed by any crazy hoppiness. Wow, did I enjoy this!

Yellow in color with a pronounced haziness. There’s an inch of creamy and densely packed dishwater white on top. Moderate, sudsy lacing is present. There’s aroma of earthy to lime and lemon hops. I’m tasting green onions and lime hops. The mouth is deceptively smooth.

Hazed grapefruit juice. Good berry-like hop aroma and flavor with a decent amount of hop funk (Motueka). Good balance with light bitterness. Medium to light bodied with a light funky hop finish. Daylight > Darkness.

Thick haze. Fresh, juicy aroma, mostly tropical and floral. Palate is Intense but smooth tropical-citrus blend with subtle orange notes. Suitably soft texture. This is only my second Hop Butcher beer, but they definitely have that knack for capturing varietal hop character.

This one is ridiculously hazy. It is milkshake-like in complexion and density. White-ish orange with a thin white foam. The aroma has a mix of booze and citrus and vanilla. At times, it has fusel scent, but I think it's just the high ABV and the mix of aromas. Earthy as well. The taste is bright and fruity....juicy tropical fruits...mango, grapefruit, guava, and more. Medium body. Dry. Lots going on with this beer.

It seems that darkness is winning in most factions of life. So let's let beer do the same. Hop Butcher's IPA is leading the way.
Slightly burnt orange and cast in a milky haze, The Way in Total Darkness forbids any light passage even as a bright scent of Tropical fruit, stone fruit, citrus and berry come with fresh botanical herbs. Sweet to taste, early impressions of shortbread, cereal and powdered sugar set a grainy-sweet tone ahead of a more hoppy middle palate of white grapefruit, orange peel and lime. Secondary nuances of pineapple, lighter mango and kiwi play into a juicy finish of melon, nectarine and peppery pine cleans up the fruit cocktail and tightens the finish.
Medium bodied, malty-dry and slightly more bitter than sweet, the hazy IPA is built to have us focused on the light and not the blight.

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left sudsy lacing. It smelled of orange, grapefruit, peach, guava and caramel. Sweet tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.

Pours a very cloudy light golden color with a medium head that dissipates fairly quickly. Aroma is tropical citrus; taste is creamy semi-sweet grapefruit zest. It is medium bodied and good. BOD 7-8-2025

Aroma is tropical/citrus hops and a big hint of vanilla. The flavor is sweet citrus, malts/grains and a big tropical Mosaic hop/hint of vanilla/grapefruit peel finish.
