A: Pours a murky pale yellow color. A dense white head forms that gently recedes to leave some lace behind.
S: Generic fruit salad. Kind of melon like, kind of pineapple like, maybe mango as well but its hard for me to pick out.
T: Follows the nose with the generic fruit salad. Melon, generic "tropical fruits" but its certainly muddled for me. Really sweet, no lingering bitterness.
M/O: A full body that is chalky. There is no real finish, as it just kind of ends. Hop burn and some fusel alcohol is noticeable. Not something I'm coming back to.
I don't get the "vibrancy" others pick out, but that is kind of par for the course for me. I have never really clicked with these NEIPA murk bombs. Though always good to try and revisit every once in a while to either reaffirm your opinion, or maybe even form a new one. Right now, its just reaffirmed.

It's their party and they'll hop if they want to, hop if they want to, hop if they want to. You'd hop to if you turned ten.
Hop Butcher enter ten years with a juicy, vibrant and fruity ale, starting off with a pale and hazy glow of burnt orange and goldenrod while topping off with a dense ivory froth. As A Toast to Ten rises with a radiant scent of tropical fruit, stone fruit citrus and herb, the taste kicks off sweet with cereal, shortcake, agave and honey. Hops simply abound with a starburst of nectarine, orange and apricot followed with lime, white grapefruit and kiwi. Candied fruits turn smoothly bitter with a finish of cedar, spruce, green tea, verbena and sassafras in both balance and complexity.
Medium bodied and creamy throughout, the session finishes slightly on the bitter side of bitter-sweet and with a malty dry mouthfeel. -a good, solid hazy ale the celebrates the Citra, Mosaic, Motueka and Peacharine hops well.

Very good hops, same for aroma, mouthfeel and drinkability. Tap just put on at Beers on the Wall, Elmhurst. Worthy pick, recommended and well constructed.
