330ml bottle from Good Spirits Co. Wine & Beer, Glasgow (£2.80):
Not a beer that I enjoyed at all & being my first lichtenhainer I obviously didn't really know what to expect going in but if this one is anything to go by then I'm not sure it will be a style of beer for me. Thankfully the taste wasn't as strong as the nose but the ham flavours were present throughout & I struggled to tell it apart from a rauchbier in the early going, save for the sourness that started to appear around the middle of the taste. It was a very hard beer for me to drink & not one that I'd recommend or go back to; I'll probably have to grab another lichtenhainer at some point to see how it compares to this one but I think I'll need to build up to it again.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
