Purchased from the brewery one week ago.
A: Opaque orange, 1 fingers of fluffy head
S: Grapefruit, citrus, lite scent of pine
T: Peppery, bitter, lemon, cereal (cheerios) malt
M: Soapy, sharp, dry
O: Hard to put my finger on what this beer is, it is opaque like NEIPA yet it doesn't taste like it looks. It is a standard AIPA, lemony peppery and bitter-y. Not my first pick for a beer in this style, just leaves something to be desired at the end of each sip. But enjoyable none the less, look forward to having more Brix City beer

Served on tap in tumbler glass at Brix City Brewing in Little Ferry, NJ.
A: Pours a honey-like, golden orange color with a one finger, fluffy, off-white head, rim plus retention and gorgeous, complex rings of lacing.
S: Aromas of barley, citrus fruit, mostly white grapefruit, and pine. An unripened nectarine note late.
T: Semidry. Palate follows the nose closely, barley front and center, although fruit clearly present throughout. Solid, but moderate and fairly balanced bitterness.
M: Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. Creamy and smooth.
O: An enjoyable and very crunchable, grainy AIPA. A winner.

Just Another IPA? That's what this was as I had no idea what variant this was since the can didn't state Nelson Sauvin or New Zealand but had the same ABV as those and not the 6% that was listed on this can. Top top it off, this wasn't dated, like any of the other Brix City beers that I have in my stash, so I'm not even sure how old this was. I'm sure this was better fresh but to me, this was just another IPA as it went down mindlessly and effortlessly...
Typical golden, hazy pour to this New England-style IPA with the accompanying head and frothy lacing down the side of my pint glass, although none of that was along the top. Banana, tea, and dank tropical hops were in the muted nose as the taste contained all of those as well. Dank, herbal, and fairly soft, this was balanced out by a crackery malt and somewhat slick mouthfeel. A bit more carbonation would have been nice but at least the sediment was at a minimum and the aftertaste wasn't terribly dry or putrid.
Whatever the ABV was, it was fine and hardly noticeable. If I had to show someone what a textbook, typical IPA was, I'd give them this can and tell them that it's just the tip of the iceberg to what's out there. I'm sure it was better fresh but probably not to that great an extent. To me, this was just another IPA...

Appearance: Arrives cloudy with a honey color; the modest cap leaves a few shards
Smell: Papaya and passionfruit with a cracker base
Taste: Papaya and cracker forward with the passionfruit arriving the the middle; light bitterness with a relatively dry finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: A good standard but not particularly distinctive
