The flavors broaden with warming. It’s important to let this beer warm up. Cloudy yellow gold color with a 4F+ head. Flavor: coconut and citrus,. Not very hoppy. The body is light. Excellent and very drinkable.

This is just a great beer. Has everything going for it that I enjoy. Hints of coconut, tropical fruits, nice feel— but not overpowering or too sweet. I dig what Brix’s has been putting out over the past year+

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy pale whitish yellow in color. It poured with a half finger high white head that died down but never completely faded away.
S: Moderate aromas of coconut are present in the nose along with notes of vanilla and hints of pineapple.
T: The taste is essentially a mirror image of the smell having flavors of coconut, vanilla, and pineapple, in that order of strength, respectively. There are some additional hints of lactose and milk sugar in the finish.
M: It feels medium-bodied and juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I really liked all of the aromas and flavors of coconuts in this IPA.

Poured from undated can into a Brix City teku glass. It pours an opaque, murky dirty golden color with a half finger of milk-white head and extensive clinging lacing. On the nose there is pineapple, vanilla cream, and lite floral hops. It tastes very much like a pina colada with pineapple, coconut, vanilla cream, and bubblegum. The Citra and Mosaic hops provide lots of flavor but little bitterness. This ale is medium-bodied with a moderate carbonation, and it drinks easily at 8% ABV. Overall, Island Jams accomplishes its mission. It is an ideal summertime, outdoor beer that nicely emulates a pina colada. Drink it casually outdoors.
