Hudson is a cherry saison. Quenching, slightly tart with a bright red appearance. Walk out your door, you won’t be back for a few hours. You walk to that hill with the great sunsets. Relax. It’s Hudson Farmhouse time. Think about how cool you look drinking this beer. Yeah…wicked cool.
Brewed with 100% Migliorelli Farm Barley, 100% NYS Hops and aged on 100% Migliorelli Farm Hudson Cherries.

From The Ground Brewery "Hudson Farmhouse Ale"
22 fl. oz. brown glass bottle, no apparent freshness or production dating
$10 from the brewery stand at the Union Square Greenmarket
Appearance: Dark rose body with red and pink highlights beneath a fluffy head of pinkish white. Average head retention but very good lacing.
Aroma: Yeasty fruit aroma (I should have let it sit for longer to allow the yeast to settle).
Flavor: Yeast, cherry - mildly bitter and distinctly authentic cherry, malt. Perhaps grassy hops, or perhaps just grassiness from the cherries. Dry, bitter finish with cherry lingering. Quite authentic, I'm not sure I've ever had a cherry beer that's been so close to actually chewing on a cherry.
Mouthfeel: Medium to medium-light in body and crisply effervescent.
Overall: Remarkable. Very straightforward, but also quite special.
