Poured from a bomber into a stemmed tulip glass and shared with a friend
Thanks to kjyost for the bottle.
A really decent beer! Pours a rich caramel color with two fingers of sudsy head with a bit of lacing. The nose and flavor hit those classic British notes, caramel and treacle with just the right amount of noble hop bitterness to dry it out. It is smooth and creamy on the palate. Overall, a tasty, easy drinking beer I’d be happy to have again and again.

Appearance: Nice honey brown color. Not much head but good lacing on this pour.
Smell: Banana, sugary sweetness, grassy, piney, some spicy notes that reminded me of Christmas pudding but I couldn't pick out which spices exactly. Pretty decent.
Taste: Hints of dark caramel at the start with lots of piney hop bitterness that showed up on the swallow and lasted long into the finish. Also picking up just a hint of rasin or plum on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Nice medium body with good carbonation. Slightly oily in a good way.
Overall: A decent beer that I would drink again. Wish i could have picked up a few more flavors on the taste but overall this one lives up to the Fort Garry small batch standards I have come to expect - keep it up guys! This beer is definitely worth a try.
