Backjump pours a very cloudy peach color with a rocky finger and a half of soapy head that leaves a lot of patchy lacing.
Aroma is heavy on the floral notes along with some orange sherbet and sweet candied citrus. The taste opens up bright and citrusy with lots of lemon-lime notes followed by a big earthy grass presence.
This beer is dank as hell with a bitter grapefruit presence that perfectly compliments the sharp bite on the finish. The malt profile is subtle with some sweet biscuity notes.
Nice amount of bitterness. No booze detected. Mouthfeel is about medium. Soft but not fluffy. Carbonation is high which causes the massive lemon-lime flavors to drink like a Sierra Mist.
This is a good IPA that I'd be happy to drink any time but it's not on the same level as a lot of LIC's other offerings.

Poursmerky burnt orange. Big white head. With awesome lacing. Aroma pineapple and citrus. Taste pineapple, pine needles, citrus, hops, lemon zest and earthy tones. Look forward to more from them.

Picked this up when it was released and finally got around to it tonight. I loved the Pile of Crowns as an introduction to LIC Beer Project but amazingly, this was even better; especially after all of this time! So soft, mellow, and easily crushed, this held it's own with the beers that I love from SingleCut and Other Half as the hops here were so easy to enjoy and the alcohol was hidden to the point of being undetectable.
Loved the pour as the beer had a hazy, wheat hue to it with a frothy head that never fully settled as I worked my way through this. Lots of melon, marmalade, candied sweetness, and floral hops in the nose with all of those in the taste. Amazingly sweet, the grass and citrus came out in the taste as a mild but persistent dankness came through in the aftertaste with a fair amount of pine. Loved the resin mouthfeel of this as this slid right down and had the mouthfeel of a West Coast IPA to counterbalance the dankness and Southern Hemisphere-like feel of the IPA's from this neck of the woods that have risen to prominence in recent years!
This was strong but on par with the tone of flavors present in this beer. Glad this was under the radar but just wish it would come out again soon!
