Received in a trade with a friend. This beer pours a very cloudy straw yellow with an unusually large white head. The scent is spectacular, smelling very tropical and having apricot shine to me. The taste is a delicate citrus flavor up front with a much more bitter green back end. The mouthfeel is not as heavy as you would expect from the color and the carbonation is spot on. Good beer that I could drink on a daily basis.

Was going to buy this at LIC the day of it's release but guess what? It sold out, as many people drove in from Long Island to obtain this in Queens rather than wait in line closer to home...leading me to end up trading for a few cans of this. The date on the bottom of the can appeared to be 1/18, given the release date and what others have stated on here and for being nearly two months old, this held up amazingly well. Incredibly smooth, drinkable, and tasty for an American Double / Imperial IPA, I was blown away by how easy this was to enjoy, in every aspect!
The pour to this was nice as the beer had a hazy golden hue to it with plenty of head and lacing along the back of my pint glass, to boot. Not a terribly strong aroma but there was plenty of bright citrus and tangerine juice with a bit of melon rind underneath that. The brilliance of this beer was in the taste, with so much going on that somehow, seemingly meshed well together. Orange, tangerine, pineapple, oats, and Pilsener Malt combined with an onion undertone to give this brightness, sweetness, and depth that had me wanting another sip once the one I was swishing went down. A nice, chewy mouthfeel, earthy spice, and a subtle resin left behind afterwards gave this nice depth as there was some tea-like spice present to help mesh everything together.
Alcohol? It's here but you'll be wondering where it went when you get to the bottom of the can's contents. Plenty going on here but thankfully, the three hops and flavors they brought to the table were allowed to fully shine here. Really impressed with this and how smooth it was. Please can this again!

This is great. Can dated 1/18/17 poured into a tulip. Nice murky yellow color with a 1/2 inch pillowy white head (lacing is prominent as the beer is consumed). Smell is mangos, pineapples, peaches, oranges, light pine. Taste is just like the smell but in layers, with some sweetness in the back. Feel is smooth and somewhat silky with a quick kick to it. Overall solid beer and with over a month on it it's drinking great. Cheers

Big thanks to Leo and Evan for hooking me up with this. Canned on 1/18. Drank out of a TEKU.
Look: light straw yellow to gold color with a full haze that darkens towards the bottom of the glass a finger a rocky foamy eggwhite head.
Aroma: Big fleshy pineapple and grapefruit backed up with lots of green onion hoppiness.
Taste: Flavor is more citrus than tropical with some green onion in there as well. Medium plus pithy, almost campari like bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Good carbonation makes this beer nice and spritzy for it's ABV but detracts from the creaminess. Dangerously drinkable for 8.5%.
Overall(style points): Another fantastic beer from LIC. I gotta get my hands on some Sand City too. 94 points.

Can. Hazy unfiltered juicy look. Blown away. Had zero expectations. Very drinkable, with a sweetness that makes it dangerous. I could guzzle this! Very solid surprise.
