This beer tastes like tobacco. It's not unpleasant per se, but a little weird. I was excited about a spelt IPA but I don't really detect any hop aroma or flavor. It's merely a dry, hazy ale.

A- Poured to a mason jar with an extremely pale yellow body that has a very cloudy appearance. A thick, frothy white cap shoots up to about three fingers high with great retention before dying to a large ring. Massive blankets of lace form in discrete patches.
S- Juicy sweet stone fruits for the most part rounded out by tropical fruits, citrus and floral hop tones. Notes of bubble gum, passionfruit, lemon, peach, tangerines, clementine, dankness and pineapple. Per modern rules, all about the hops.
T- Seems to shift actually quite a bit from the aroma for me as a grainy cereal/wheaty note comes out from the malts and the hops stray more towards the floral and citrus notes. Quite a sea change. Backing that are more subdued notes of bubble gum, pineapple, peach, mango, orange peel oils and grapefruit.
MF- Puffy and foamy texture with just a bit of a frothy feel too. The body itself is towards the light side and honestly this brew comes off just a bit thin. Clean, light herbal bitter finish.
The aroma comes on strong with juicy stone fruits as well as some citrus and dankness but somehow it loses a lot of that in the flavor as the malts peek through with a raw cereal grain feel.

admitted big fan of LiC particularly their IPas, bit mikkeller...? I've had a hit or mostly miss relationship wit mikkeller beers. I've come to the conclusion that our taste buds just don't align, none the less gave this a whirl. canned on the 10th, 17 days ago.
brew is decent. LiC prevails and a decent ipa lives...the finish however...is all mikkeller...abbrasive and overly bitter...earthy, even. what is a super inviting citrus blast in the nose leaves a grimmace.in your face. once again anything mikkeller has me saying "meh"
