Pours a hazy yellow color with a touch of orange. A modest head soon dissipates and yields some lacing.
The nose is fruity and opens with tropical notes of papaya, mango, banana and coconut. Additional fruity aromas of melon, peach and orange develop, as does herbal and dank notes of grass and resin.
Opens juicy and sweet with a soft tropical fruit drink feel. Flavors of papaya, mango, guava, coconut and a touch of pineapple are supported by honey and biscuity malts. Although it opens with no perceptible bitterness, it does begins to develop midway, as do spicy notes of grass and pine resin. The finish is smooth and with a touch of resiny bitterness.
Medium bodied with a smooth, slightly frothy mouthfeel. The carbonation is medium.
Pretty good IPA that is on the juicy side and drinkable. To nitpick, it starts a bit sweet and a bit soft but does develop some spicy balance.

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy brownish yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a thin layer of white bubbles covering the surface, a narrow collar around the edges and lots of lacy rings of bubbles around the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of honeydew melon and pine are present in the nose along with some notes of peaches.
T: The taste follows the smell, except that the peach flavors are a bit stronger (on par with those of the melon) and the pine resin isn't as prominent. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied, juicy, and a bit resinous on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is rather juicy and exhibits nice aromas and flavors of melons.

i liked all the beers in here, but their hoppy stuff stood out to me the most. this one is done with exclusively cascade hops grown in new york state, which have a decidedly different complexion than the west coast cascade we all know from sierra nevada and others, this is seemingly more pungently citrus forward, less conventionally herbaceous and spicy, and a slick oily richness that gives an otherwise pretty straightforward ipa type a great deal of depth. i like the simple pale malt base, its god some body but its dry and elemental, which allows the uniqueness of this locally grown cascade to share itself with us. golden and frothy from the tap, lively and earthy, a cereal note from the grain almost like cheerios, and very vibrant hops, i get heady sativa, fresh pine, lime, and orange juice, along with a vegetal greenness thats not the usual harsh overdosed thing but an impossibly freshness, a just picked sort of ripeness, its incredible really. bitter enough in the finish, but for me this was more about the taste and nuance of the local cascade, not about the bitterness it packs. there is a kind of decadence about this from all the hops and how bold and sticky they are in here, its awesome. i could make a nice little session out of this, each sip is so satisfying and gratifying. great showcase of this hop and how its different than what we are used to from cascade.
