On tap at Stoneyard Beer Hall and Grill in Penfield, NY.

This one pours a very hazy golden orange, with a small head, and a lot of lacing.

This smells like tangerine, melon, bitter weed, grassiness, and grapefruit.

This is great- and it's not surprising given the two breweries involved. There's a lot of sweet tangerine and orange, with a killer clean and green bitterness- marijuana definitely comes to mind. There's no malt character.

This is light bodied, creamy and tasty, with a good level of carbonation.

This hits most of the notes I look for in this kind of IPAs- it's an example of a collaboration that actually worked out.

A: Poured from the half-growler into a Piraat tulip/snifter-type glass. Body is murky dark yellow. No head. No visible carbonation.

S: Stale weed meets an IPA - a tropical fruit-centric IPA. Big dank mustiness in the nose, but not in a bad way.

T: Follows the nose, with a dank, resiny, piney, and tropical fruity hop taste over a honey-sweet malt foundation. Finishes with a nice lingering, lemony, piney bitterness that really coats the palate.

M: Full-bodied in heft; feels a bit slick and syrupy, but not surprisingly so for a DIPA.

O: Solid stuff. Dank and earthy and sweet and bitter all at once. A sipper, but a full-flavored one.

A Collaboration beer: LIC Beer Project & Interboro Spirits and Ales

A murky, yellow tinged gold color with orange highlights. A fat and chunked out creamy white foam is thick and creamy. Nice sticky lacing. Slooow to recede. The chunky lace is very impressive and there is plenty of constant, scatterd coverage until the end. A very proper and healthy look for the style.

The Citra, Comet and simcoe hops sure do give off an intense aroma. Mostly of citrus and tropical juices. Cantaloupe, pineapple, blood orange and wet grasses come to mind. A huge "nose" indeed.

This is a very dense and intense hop bomb. Layers of citrus, tropical fruity notes, grainy and grassy earth tones, bitter and dry effect in the middle, more citrus and peppery undertones near the end. Mellowe, pineapple, black pepper with that dry-hopped bitter intensity. The malt is very light, slightly sweet and very grainy, allowing this incredible hop combo shine through.

The mouthfeel and body is rather lush, full but in some ways light and airy. Crisp bite then juicy, turning dry from the dry hopping and grainy, wheat or pilsner-ish malty effect.

Yes, folks it's yet another New England Style IPAx2. This one has a huge complexity in both aroma and flavor. The 8.5% abv. Does not go unnoticed, and adds even more depth to the complexity and interesting mouthfeel. Quality all around.
