First, the confusions: both the website and the label say this is 7.0% so it doesn't make much sense as a DIPA. But it's the cloudy haze and slippery, raw grain mouthfeel. More like a textbook New England IPA. Big pile of foam on the hazy yellowish brew.
Aroma is quite lush with green melon and peach. But the first swallow starts clawing at the back of the throat. The acidity is perilous but that sourish astringency is death. It's like the worst yeasty muck from your homebrew that gets stuck in your craw.
Too harsh to be drinkable. I don't know how far this hazy highway is going to take us... From the 16 oz can purchased from City Beer Store. Interesting that my previous beer, another ghastly murk bomb, was nearly as undrinkable: Nelson, Baby! from Alvarado Street. But much loved by BA reviewers.

Tall can w/o dating info to be had.
Pours with a medium haze, leaves frothy froth and loads of fine sheeting.
Grass and tea on the sniff
Super tasty, delicate and subtle stuff....more grassyness, more tea, minty hop notes and perhaps a finishing bubble gum note....delicious and well crafted stuff.
