I've tried a number of LIC Beer Project offerings at this point. This probably ranks 3rd on my list from them. On the higher end of the carbonation spectrum, with very tasty foam on top of a hazy yellow/orange color. It has a nice spiciness to it, although it doesn't quite coax out the same depth of flavor that you get in some Tree House IPAs, for example. It's still up there as a top shelf IPA. I'd be happy to drink this one regularly!

Hmmmm? Humming Dragon is an unbelievable offering from LIC. Slight Haze Almost Translucent In the 12/11/2019 canning. Definitely will catch up on you, as this is an easy to enjoy beer.
L: good size head which stays for a while with a clingy lace left on the glass. Translucent to very light haze.
S: boozy pilsner with sweet berry nose, like fruity Pop Rocks.
T: clean and wonderful with many moments, each standing on its own. Crisp pilsner beginning moving through an oat moment to dank pine to a sweet bitterness.
F: crisp, floral, great carbonation with a chewy ending. Fulfilling.
O: a great must drink again beer from a great New York City brewery. A must visit, must drink part of any NYC beer experience.

L: A nearly PiƱa colada pale brew hue with a loose foamy beige head, decent retention and lacing.
S: The initial aroma is booze oddly enough for the 7%er, but that is followed by a cotton candy aroma.
T: The taste is even more soft, with contrasting astringency, and an herbal and mineral spirit quality.
F: This has some killer carbonation, but otherwise is contrasted by both it's smoothness (seems oated) and by it's strong bitterness.
O: A real oddball of a hazy and hard to define IMO. It was quite drinkable and enjoyable nonetheless.

pure gold from these guys on this one, one of my favorites from our visit here and really one of the better hazy ipa types we had in all of new york, and we covered some serous ground. this is cloudy but still bright in the glass, has a tall and lasting almost nitro looking head, dense and creamy and pure white, gorgeous really. i am starting to really be able to identify el dorado hops pretty easily, and they are high in the mix here, very identifiable, fresh honeydew melon, a flash of sweet lime, and an almost savory herbal aspect, nice with the citra and the simcoe, which leave it plenty of room to do its own thing, a great hop combination on this, slightly more robust in the nose than the flavor, big dry hopping on this after all, but the flavor is right there, fruity and complex, with such a flush and soft malt base, oaty and full of protein and nutrients it feels like, almost healthy in some ways. super fresh, close to a cryo hop intensity in the flavor, just mellow bitterness to finish, and super dry as they go. creamy and splashy feeling, great carbonation, the refinement on this is very high for the style, and i appreciate that as much as anything else about this one. overall a delicious and memorable brew, as good from the beer shot our bartender hooked us up with on our way out as it was from the glass they pour it in. lovely ipa, stands out from the crowd!
