Crowler from Westmere Beverage in Albany, NY.
This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like roasty peanut butter, milk chocolate, roast, fudge, and maybe a touch of smoke.
This is fairly decadent, which works well for me. The peanut butter comes through well, adding both a rich roasty character that melds with the grainy roast character of the base stouts, as well as adding a candied sweetnesss to the beer. There's lots of rich milk chocolate, which adds a creamy and viscous flavor to this.
This is pretty thick, and rich, with no real booziness at all. It's pretty drinkable.
I've been more familiar with LIC's deft hand at the IPA game - it's cool that they can also play the stout game, too.
