Picked up a sixer at the Airport Road Ingles 9-15-24 for $10.97. No canning date; consumed the first three cans for review 10-17-24.
Beer poured golden amber with a nice white head with the original pour.
Nose has a light touch of toasted malts and noble hops.
Taste is a light toasted pale malt that is balanced by floral hops that aim for balance but leaves the ending with a touch of sweetness.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and smooth.
Overall this is a nice representation of the style.

cloudy orange amber, small white head, very little aroma. Too cloudy to be a good lager, and too bitter to be a Marzen, it's not too awful, but not lazy Hiker's best beer by far. Even after 2 months, the hops are just too much for this type of brew.
Get their seasonal brown, special release oatmeal stout or year round porter which are all excellent. This is drinkable, just not great.

Look: It pours amber with slight clouding and a white head. Head retention is very good.
Smell: It has medium toast aromas with a low amount of spice.
Taste: It has moderately strong toasty flavor with some spice in support.
Feel: It has a medium body.
Overall, it has a very good balance between the toast and the hops which makes this a good festival beer.

I'm drinking this at The Lazy Hiker in beautiful downtown Sylva NC.
Poured from a tap into a pint glass.
Appears darkish amber with a nice foamy head that dropped quickly and nice lacing.
Smells floral, bready, malty, spicy.
Taste follows the nose.
Mouth feel is medium for the style.
Overall a very nice example of an Octoberfest Marzen that I would definitely order again.

12oz can

a late addition to my ultimate Oktoberfest tasting
L: very slightly hazed amber body, thin foamy beige head
S: muted with some caramely grain and spicy hops
T: more flavorful than aroma; bold caramelized grain, rye bread crust, toasted malt; spicy, earthy, herbal hops provide ample bitterness
F: fuller body, moderate carbonation, balanced & semi-dry finish
O: my first experience with this brewery, and this was good
