Picked up a sixer at the Fresh Market in Hendersonville 6-7-23 for $12.99. No canning date; consumed the last two cans for review 8-30-23.
Beer poured brown with a very nice off-white head with the original pour.
Nose has some notes of toasted malts and dark fruits.
Taste is a toasted malt base that gives notes of honey and figs. Finishes with a pretty good balancing hop that leaves just a touch of sweetness.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with each sip being smooth.
Overall not of world class caliber as brewed by the masters in the old country but this is a tasty enjoyable beer.

I am drinking this at home. Bought at The Black Mountain Ingles.
Poured from a 12 can into a pint glass.
Looks dark copper colored with a tan foamy head that dropped quickly to a thin cap.
Smells bready, malty, sweet.
Taste follows the nose nicely, malty and bready with some raisin.
Mouth feel is medium for the style.
Overall a very nice example of a Dopplebock that I would definitely like to try on tap and will certainly drink again.
Cheers!
