On tap at Burger Heaven, New West BC.
Appearance. Yellow gold with half a finger of white head.
Smell. Lemonade with just a hint of wheat.
Taste. Lightly sweetened Reallemon, a little toasty wheat that's actually quite nice.
Mouthfeel. Thin body with medium-strong carbonation.
Overall. Maybe not the most flavourful beer, but suits this sunny afternoon on a patio just fine.

I work at a golf course and the beer sponsor at a tournament gave me a couple 6 packs for helping him pack up his stuff. I was really excited to try this because this company also sponsors my rugby team, but boy was I disappointed. I ended up drinking it ice cold out of a can at a party the next night. pours a clear, tinted yellow colour. taste is below average, it was very bitter on the tongue for a filtered wheat beer. The lemon taste was very pronounced, as advertised on the can... but everything else is horrible. mouthfeel was fizzy with all texture fading just as the head did within seconds of pouring. overall, just dont buy it, save yourself the trouble.

This was the second offering I tried from Russell. Always curious to see what the lemon/lime ales have to offer.
A - This one poured a very pale golden colour, paper thin layer of head which quickly dissipates leaving no lacing, boasting a considerable amount of visible carbonation.
S - The scent is rather bready and grainy, however, the lemon does come through a bit on the nose. Could be a bit stronger, but I'll leave it to the taste to determine whether it is sufficient.
T - Flavours are much like the scent, with bready Saltine malts, followed by a spritzer of lemon zest on the finish. Flavours are rather mild, as implied by the scent, and a little manufactured.
M - Based on the heavy amount of visible carbonation in the glass I was expecting this to be a bit too bubbly, however, it was nicely balanced on the tongue and went down smooth.
D - A decent attempt and a tasty summer drink, but the flavours are a little mild and manufactured. Lemon doesn't overwhelm the palette, which is always nice, but just doesn't come through as authentic. Worth a try on a hot summer day, but not the greatest.

Another special from 13 Monks, in that there are posters for it all over the place, including that special spot right over the urinals...
This beer appears a clear pale straw colour, with one finger of soapy white head, which wisps away quickly, leaving no reminder in the form of lace. It smells of mildly sweet white grain, and lemon Pledge - more on that later. The taste is New Jersey Laboratories' finest lemon flavour, and more sweet white grain - hard to discern if it's barley or rice. The carbonation is moderate, the body lightweight, and thinly acidic, and it finishes with a fading lemon mouthwash sensibility, and some thin graininess.
A 'beer' in a nominal sense. Anyways - the Lemon Pledge came to mind, because earlier that day, my gf had the pleasure of discovering that the hotel room moisturizer, once liberally applied, had the distinct aroma of Lemon Pledge...it was still fresh in my mind, when I coincidentally ran into its distant cousin.

What can i say it smells like fake lemons tastes like fake lemons, and it isn't even a wheat beer so boo to this one.
Pours a light yellow colour with little head.
Smells like, well lemon obviously, and maybe some sort of beer type thing in the background.
Tastes like fake lemon juice you get at the grocery store squirted in to a mediocre beer. Could be refreshing in hot weathre but just a little too manufactured tasting for me.
Just tastes and smells too fake to me, not a big fan of the lemon/lime beer thing anyways and this didn't help.

Man this is one of the worst beers available on tap in Vancouver yet the bartender told me a lot of people ordered it. It is pale and good lookinf but the lemon pledge flavours overtake any chance of drinkability. These guys need to step up their beers and this travesty is only going to hurt them.( Anyone remember Saxer lemon).
