Beer sample provided by my son on a trip to Vancouver. Gracias!

Straw yellow pour into the Sammy Adams freebie glass, not too bad of a white head with decent staying power.

Aroma? Well yeah, lime. Crappy lime too. But ya know, the quaff was not bad at all, just subdued lime mixed with a malty pilsner. Not overwhelming at all, in fact - if you want a lime beer this would disappoint you. For me, I think this is a decent hot summer lawn mower beer - not that I'll ever have the chance to purchase this in the Midwest.

A single bottle for barely more than a buck - oh, what the hell...

This beer pours a hazy, very pale straw colour, with one finger of thin fizzy white head, which fades away quickly, leaving little in the way of discernible lace. It smells of sweet grainy malt, and fake Fruit Loops lime flavouring. The taste is overripe lime, an underwhelming pilsner malt, and a weird saltiness that can't help but underline the comparison to those crappy mainstream tortilla chips. The carbonation is moderate, the body light, a bit zingy, and while neither smooth nor creamy, agreeable enough. It finishes fairly dry and citrusy, like the aforementioned cereal aftermath, minus the milk.

Another ill-advised melding of lager and lime. Maybe if it was 40 degrees warmer outside, this would be more a bit more desirable. As it stands, blah.

Well, what can I say, I got a free sample of this so I'll give it a shot. Clear bottle, pours out a pale hazed straw hue, decent white head on it that settles to a tight thin cap.

Straight aroma of synthetic chemical lime, and even a zip of synthetic lemon as well. No noticeable natural aromas to be found...

Flavour is not quite inoffensive, not quite a sink pour. Raw bland grainy malt with a splash of fake lime.

Mouthfeel is rough and abrasive, the carbonation is way overdone, even a bit obnoxious.

Pass, pass, pass, glad I didn't pay for this, here's hoping this lime beer fad fades away quickly and stays forgotten.

Wow another lime lager, surprising? Not really.

Pours a light yellow fizzy colour...no surprise.

Smells like Tostitos lime chips, seriously almost exactly like it just fake lime smell and a bit of a grainy thing in the background.

Tastes I kid you not like I am drinking one of those Tostitos chips, seems like some genius thought saltyness was the one missing ingredient to a good refreshing lime beer.

As a follow up to their lemon beer this is certainly another failure although there are still plenty of people who come in to my store asking for it, to them I simply respond...really?

don't bother unless like me you have to taste these things.
