Interesting story behind this brew. Haven't sampled a brew from these guys in quite some time.
Appearance - Pours a hazy amber with three fingers of bubbly white head.
Smell - spicy earthy, leafy, and floral hops, tart cherries, bready malts, peppery aromas, and spicy earthy yeast.
Taste - spicy earthy, leafy, and floral hops upfront. The tart cherry comes through next but is mild. The bready malts, pepper, and spicy earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes slightly tart with the elements of the brew lingering.
Overall - An easy drinking saison from Mt. Begbie. For me, I wish the cherry was a bit more pronounced in the taste but otherwise a respectable brew.
