Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque black in the glass with a half finger milk chocolate head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, cocoa, vanilla, plums and whiskey. Flavor is dark toasted malt, nuts, vanilla, milk chocolate, dark fruit with a great chocolate and whiskey finish that reveals more hazelnut flavor at the end. Medium bodied with light creaminess. A very well made, barreled imperial porter with a stand out flavor. It tastes a bit light in the malt at first, but becomes very complicated with interesting flavors developing throughout the taste with some unexpected ones like nuts and dark fruit. Lucky to get this can, but I'd get more of this if was available here. Excellent

Dark body with a fairly thin yet lasting head. Vanilla and coconut are the immediate impression on the nose; muted chocolate and coffee. Milk chocolate and vanilla taste; some booziness; mild bitterness. Heavy body; pretty slick and oily on the palate.
A pretty nice and robust imperial porter. It is relatively weak in appearance (mostly due to its thin head) and the taste is fairly heavy in the sweetness department although the whiskey heat and taste from the barrel aging does add some depth to the overall picture.

Pours black as 3 am with a frothy tan head, the whiskey notes literally leap at you when the can is opened in the form of rich vanilla and oak, and there’s significant toffee and caramel notes as well. And a dollop of milk chocolate. I am now officially salivating.
The barrel strikes first on the taste, with vanilla and oak staking out their territory, but the toffee and milk chocolate notes coax this to the very end of the taste where some stone fruit flavors magically appear. Holy imperial porter.
I approached this not knowing what to expect since I’ve not had anything from this brewery before. If this beer is any example , they’re someone I need to revisit on the regular, because this is outstanding.

Very stout-ish porter - full-bodied and richly flavored with roasty chocolaty malts - the whiskey barrel adds lighter wood tones and a light alcoholic vapor... Sweet up front but dries on the finish... Suggestions of espresso coffee beans and wood char keep it nicely bittered...
