No canning date (released on 6/9/22, so presumably canned within a few days of that date); consumed on 8/8/22
Pours a translucent, slight murky dark copper body topped with just over a finger of creamy, off-white foam; mediocre head retention leaves a spotty few islands of paper-thin cap along with a nearly nonexistent collar and no lacing holding with any longevity to the walls of the glass.
Aroma offers a distinctly fruity yeast subtext guiding to musty peppercorn with distant shreds of oolong evolving over time; crisp, long-grain rice eases to a clean minerality and soft toast on the back end of the bouquet.
Taste opens to a delicate florality sporting edges of oolong; clean, vague minerality over the mid-palate guides to mild straw grain and a subtle, sweet bread dough finish.
Mouthfeel presents a light body and a progressively flattening, moderate-low carbonation; clean textures remain level, meeting moderate, yeasty heft past the mid-palate to a choppy back end, while the finish itself shows a dry crispness and quiet composure.
Floral umami is featured in waves to enliven a wavering minerality and distantly toasty, tea-tinged base; an ambitious and unique lager experimentation, though a bit too sloppy to be anything incredibly memorable.
