Love the name. Scooped up a bottle while on Oahu. Chocolate, coconut, barrel aged...sign me up. Haupia all the way.
Almost-black-but-still-brown pour with a khaki head that puffs up, sags and then swirls away.
Aroma is roasted malt, dark chocolate, toasted coconut, molasses and cocoa powder. Dessert beer, for sure.
Taste is dark chocolate, molasses, chocolate morsels, char, coconut, whiskey-booze and brown sugar. Nice balance of flavors but it’s sweet, make no mistake.
Sweet and sticky but not a thick or viscous beer; thin-bodies. Easy sipper and a tad cloying. Tasty beer, for sure.

Pours dark brown with a 1/4 inch tan head that disappears quickly.
Aroma is chocolate, coconut and bourbon. Really nice (reminescient of chocolate haupia pie).
Taste coconut upfront, but not overwhelming. On the back I get light hints of chocolate.
Very thin mouth feel, easily drinkable.
