The lagerheads at Lucky Envelope are excited to share this deliciously soft Italian-Style Pilsner with notes of honey-like malt sweetness and flowery continental hops. This beer was brewed with Weyermann Eraclea Malt grown off of Italy’s Adriatic coast and hopped meticulously with Saphir and Hallertauer Mittelfrueh hops during late, whirlpool, and dry hopping.

Canned on 4/5/23; consumed on 11/20/23

Pours a crystal-clear straw-gold body sporting a meandering effervescence and two fingers of airy, fluffy, white foam; good head retention leaves a slim layer of cap, modest, sudsy collar, and rings of chunky lacing encircling the walls of the glass.

Aromas waft chardonnay against edges of musty honey, while notes of grain silo espouse further straw detailing in the backdrop and a subtle florality coasts throughout.

Taste offers tones of thin wheat cracker and white wine grape in the backdrop, with touches of straw/grass meeting a florality hinting toward geranium over the mid-palate as tempered notes of lemon peel finish.

Mouthfeel shows a light body accompanied by a level ‘snap’ and moderate-full fluff of spritzy carbonation; crisp textures trend deftly flaky as a subtle dryness fades with the swallow.

Mild and restrained, yet with a uniquely effervescent delivery invoking grassy hops and a delicately pastoral touch over a snappy foundation of day-old bread and grainy malts; distinct and wholly enjoyable.

16oz can (dated 4/6/21, with a bunch of other gibberish printed on the bottom as well.) poured into 12oz goblet. Poured a clean, clear light gold color with 1/4 inch of white head that low had retention and lacing.

The aroma had a pleasant grain oriented malt base, with light hops in the background.

Started off similar on the tongue, with the hops popping a bit brighter.

The body was light and smooth, but thicker and sticker than I've found in the style.

Drinkability was good, no problems finishing the can, but I wasn't left wanting another either.

Overall, a solid enough brew, worth grabbing if you're in the mood for something lighter.
