Our light and effervescent Grisette highlights Fonio, a nutty and floral ancient West African grain. While it's often considered a "lost crop," recent pushes hope to change that outlook for this tiny but powerful grain.

Not quite clear pale amber with bubbles streaming in the Caution Brewing nonic. Aromatic with something like vegetable and a grainy finish. It tastes like it a Pale Ale which it apparently is but brewed with Belgian yeast. This is a most interesting flavor of toast with some kind of nuts and green apricot in the finish but not really fruity. Slightly bitter and rather sharp in the ending. This is definitely on the tangy and refreshing side with just a bit of sweetness. The Belgian yeast takes over the aftertaste. with it's own bitter, leafy note. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Not dated.
