Bottle: Poured a deep amber color ale with a large off-white head with light retention and some lacing. Aroma of tart notes with a heavy dose of cranberry and light spiced notes is more or less pleasant. Taste is a mix of heavy cranberry notes with strong tart notes with distant hops and light spices notes. Body is pretty full with good carbonation. Not sure if it is by design but this seem heavily infected with limited hops presence.

According to brewer: A festive IPA for Xmas
grains: Oats and barley
hops: Citra, Simcoe, Calypso
Cranberries, orange peel, ginger, licorice and spices.
Pours a reddish gold, with a white head that fades to a quite persistent ring.It is a bit on the hazy side.
Poured from a 500 ml bottle 6 weeks old.
Smells of orange peel, licorice and spices.
The first taste is quite bitter almost sour from the cranberries and the orange peel. The alcohol is masked by all the various flavors but there is quite a strong warming feel after a few sips. This beer is not sweet but does have body and has a dry feel. A lot of thought went into this recipe but i feel it needs paring with the right food. Maybe stewd pors or kettle fried potato chips. I have to admit I am not a fan of sours.
