April 29th, 2015 - It's Saison season in San Diego, and South Park has a version of its own to feed pedestrians down closer to Balboa Park. Cloudy and decorated with a sheen of foam, it looks a great heal like a wheat beer, but the aroma disabuses me of the confusion. There I smell lemon, lemonade and a puff of black pepper. The flavor is as good as the aroma is inviting, serving up a light carbonated and mineral taste on a thin, clean palate. The taste is light and refreshing, with just a touch of the aroma's lemonade re-appearing in the aftertaste.

Pale yellow in the pint shaker at the brewery restaurant on 30th St. LIght and bright yeasty brew. Not very fragrant.
Some malt flavor, a wheaty taste, and a touch of sweetness. the mild yeast-tinged flavor is clean and refreshing. Plain and cereal tasting. A slight bitter edge in the aftertaste, along with the usual Belgian dry finish. Good for a low-alcohol Saison. Somehow I think I'd like it better if it came in a can with a little more fizz.
