Draft pour at Beer Star, White Center, WA.
L - Dark amber beer with an average head that has a slight orange hue which makes the head look slightly ‘dirty’!! Great lacing on the glass.
S - not great! There is a chemical type smell to the beer with hints of sweet malt.
T - not bad, but not great. Very malt forward with no bitterness to balance the sweet taste.
F - needs more effervescence. Smooth, silky, heavy, chewy and resinous. It feels sticky and the flavors linger on the palate.
O - Not a great beer. I would not buy it again. It has a nice mouth feel, but that is where my compliments end. Too malt forward with no balance and too sweet. Absolutely not a Pliney clone.
