L: orange color, can't see through it. Massive white foam and tons of lacing
S: big citrus, bitterness, slight pine
T: the bitterness hits first, not very much citrus, slight pine.

Traded for this a while back and finally got around to having it tonight, as I'm not the biggest fan of Equinox. While this was an American Double/Imperial IPA in terms of the hops and booze, but the funk from the farmhouse made this a bit tough to adjust to and difficult to pinpoint. There was plenty of juice here to make this enjoyable but this seemed to be somewhat typical once I finally ended up finishing this off.
The pour to this was nice as the beer had a hazy golden hue, fluffy head with big bubbles, and a fair amount of lacing left behind after my sips. Most of that was around the top of my pint glass with scattered clusters along the back as well. Lots of lime, tropical fruit, and stone fruit in the nose but the aroma itself wasn't terribly strong. All of those were in the taste along with Magnify's yeast that I've come to expect, some mild farmhouse funk, and some tea-like herbal notes. Crisp and fairly clean, there were notes of grass and grain in the back that gave this a dry and somewhat sour finish. There were enough hops up front and a juicy mouthfeel through the middle to keep this beer from feeling dull at any point.
Thankfully, the alcohol was quite recessed as there was only a slight warming feeling at the end of my session. While not the strongest offering in this series, fans of Magnify or the Equinox hop would still find it worth their while to check this out. It's a decent beer with enough going for it, though there was certainly some room for improvement. The funky side just needed to be turned down a notch!

Thanks to SadMachine for this 16 oz. can…which I just realized is a “Farmhouse IIPA”. What the hell does that even mean? Guess I’m not going to find out playing with my zipper.
The pour is clouded yellow banana juice. Aroma brings melon, grapefruit, citrus, & dreams of digging my toes into the equatorial sand. Not bad.
Woah Equinox is dank enough for a Bagley road ditch. Massive swamp ass - which I’ve never enjoyed on my nether regions, much less in my mouth - overwhelms whatever subtlety might have existed here. Digging into the muck, there’s a bit of lemon, the lost tropical fruits, & a bitterness that’s bouncing jarringly off the yeasts. Honey, orange background. Dry. Half a can is enough.
My wife set her half aside & refuses to finish it. It’s better than that, but I’m a bit baffled by the high ratings. Decent enough.

L - changes a lot depending on the light I hold it up to. But I guess that should be expected, right? Ranges from straw to gold, settling somewhere in between. Mild haze, ripe orange color.
S - Equinox out the ass up front. Still not sure how I feel about this hop. It's unique and different, but maybe a little too bready and coriander..y for me. Lots of papaya, apricot, and unripe pineapple punches me in the fact and kicks me while I'm down. Brutal. Little bit of Chardonnay and a shitton of yeast.
T - more of the aroma up front and then BAM the farmhouse kicks in. Saison and all the spiciness that comes with it in full force. Too much force? I like a woman- er, beer that takes control. Is this beer drinking me? Dry and quite bitter. Tons of flavor, but maybe doesn't mesh well. The balance is all wonky. Lemon candy when all is said and done.
F - drinks like a DIPA. None of that prickly farmhouse crap. I can dig it. Smooth and creamy.
O - this is a different beer. Equinox hops aren't for everyone, and I thought I was one of those people before trying this beer. I guess maybe I'm okay with it this time around. Unique, to say the least. Well worth a try.

First offering in the woah series I've had. Quality aroma, flavor and an all around solid offering. This brewery has so much potential to be huge.

Another huge thanks goes out to Sammyjaxxxx for a great box of beer, this included! Thanks, mang! Woah Equinox is a murky libation golden hours hue. There's np chance of seeing anything through the body, as a matter of fact it looks a little like pineapple juice. The head is easy to conjure and occupies the top two fingers of the glass. It's a little dirty white and puffy. While receding to a cap after a few minutes it leaves sticky, chunky, irregular lacing in its wake. A good looking beer, Woah Equinox is.
Damn, this beer reeks of hops! It's a veritable tropical fruit basket in this pint glass. Huge notes of papaya and mango, passionfruit and pineapple. Even a healthy dose of apricot makes itself known. There's a little of that lactic, overripe pineapple like I often get from Citra heavy beers in this Equinox heavy IPA. The malt base brings a touch of sweetness with some graham cracker deliciousness below a sugar cookie lead. This beer will make your mouth water.
There is a quick flash of orchard fruitiness up front but that's all I get of the farmhouse aspect. The hop profile again leads the way with domination on the mind. The tropical fruits are front to back, juicy and vibrant. An aspect I didn't pick up in the nose that's alive and well on the finish is a pine needle/herbal hoppiness that brings the bitter. There is also a touch of aspirin bitterness that I don't come across often but have always enjoyed. There is just enough sugar to keep the hop profile from running rampant and it's graham cracker-y with drizzle of caramel. A clean booziness cleans up the finish nicely.
The body is moderate in weight but a snappy carbonation makes it feel even lighter than that, impressive for a beer of this stature. The carbonation, while active and lively, never becomes prickly or aggressive. Bitterness grows with each successive drink until it surpasses moderate, the dry finish helps the cause. The drinkability for a beer of this weight is way up there. Goes down incredibly easy.
Woah Equinox is delicious! It's insanely juicy from front to back with a firm bitterness that lingers long after each drink. The flavor is even more complexly hoppy than the nose suggested. It's bitter, dry, and insanely drinkable. I can't get enough! Thanks again, Sammyjaxxxx!

16 oz can poured into a nonic.
Pours a hazy yellow color with a finger of foam. Aroma is bursting with citrus, papaya, and other tropical fruit. Flavor is full of tropical fruit hoppiness with a bitter kick midway through. Finishes very smooth, the sharp bitterness drops right out of this on the back end. Very drinkable and enjoyable.

Pours a murky pale yellow color with one and a half fingers of fluffy white head and moderate carbonation evident. Tons of citrus hops and tropical fruits in the nose, light pine and resin, grapefruit, lemon, and fruity malts. Medium body and moderate carbonation.

Another stellar brew from the crew at Magnify. The entire Woah series is excellent, Citra is my fav but this one is pretty damn close. Super smooth and all day drinkable. Well done.

Look: Looks like a New England style IPA which is really cool, just glows in the right light.
Aroma: white wine grapes, funk, yeast, sourdough bread, pine, grassy, citrus, tangerines, melon, resin, dank herbs, tropical fruits, pretty awesome smelling beer
Taste: Rather balanced and smooth and has a creamy body. While the hops are at front stage, and the beer is decently bitter you still get a nice amount of farmhouse/sasion taste in the finish.
Its an amazing double IPA period! And a very unique beer!

Poured from 16 oz. can into Magnify tulip glass on the day after the cans were released so it is very fresh. It pours a cloudy yellow amber color with one finger of foamy, milk-white head and lacing. It smells of lemon peel, pineapple, and a spiciness not unlike a Saison. The taste is grassy with lots of grapefruit, pineapple, pine needles, and a hint of honey. The Equinox hops fairly explode with a pleasant, dry bitterness. It all works very well together. This ale is nicely carbonated and easy to drink with a manageable ABV of 8%. Overall, it's taste is big and bold but also refreshing and not overly boozy. This is one tasty DIPA and another reason that Magnify is up and coming!
