Pours a lightly hazy brownish-copper in color with maybe a quarter inch of off white head. Great aroma, some nice tropical fruits and a moderate dose of funk. Taste mirrors the aroma, the funk is subdued at first but then builds a bit and lingers into the finish. There is a bit of caramel-ish malts that are tempered by a hoppy bitterness to keep the beer balanced. Good mouthfeel, light-medium body and carbonation. Overall a good mix of tropical hops typical of a NE IPA mixed with a subtle farmhouse funk.

On tap at Cloverleaf Tavern. An interesting stab at the style, although definitely not one of my favorite beers. This one certainly lacks drinkability. Notes of hops and citrus pines dominate the tongue. Decent.

One of the more exceptional NJ hoppy beers that i have had, right up there with double dry hopped Kane beers and 077 single hops. It is funky and tropical fruit juicy right out of the can. Nice mix of bitterness, with a ton of fruit, orange, peach, melon, and pineapple. As this warms a bit the bitterness fades and you are hit with CITRA CITRA CITRA tropical fruit juice with just a hint of tartness. Well done Magnify, you stood right up in a tasting against the best Vermont and NYC had to offer, only slightly behind some of the best our country has to offer.

Such a beautiful Unfiltered Single Hoped Farmhouse Double IPA, wow thats a mouth full but it's a complex beer. I get the farmhouse funk of a sasion, some sour and tart notes, the unfiltered creamy mouth-feel of a NE style IPA, Bright tropical and juicy flavors from tons of Citra hops and the body of a hefeweizen. Love to support local beer, but I love even more to support local beers when the beer is truly excellent.

I have had a bunch of great beers in the last year. This ranks up there with the best of them. One of my favorite so far this year. I'm lucky to live near this great new brewery.

Poured from a 16oz can with no freshness date, but canned on April 29, 2016 (I attended the can release) into a Magnify branded Belgian tulip-esque glass
A - Pours a very hazy gold color, but
S - Initial blast of a Citrus/Tropical aroma followed by an earthy, spicy, yeasty, funky element in the back. I had this beer the day of the release which turned out to be rather one dimensional...nothing but chewing into Citra hops. That said, I am very happy to be reviewing it ~6 weeks fresh, as the assault from the hops has been tamed and a lot of the complexity from the yeast has come out of hiding. The 8% ABV is completely hidden.
T - The hops and farmhouse yeast "funk" play equal fiddle and play very nicely on the palate. After the sip, the residual citrus rind bitterness provides the perfect stage to showcase that farmhouse yeast profile.
M - Nice and creamy, medium bodied beer that leaves the palate with some residual pine resin. The finish is dry, tacky and spicy. Although a slight warming is felt once up to temperature, the drinkability is superb for this 8%'er.
O - For hopheads, this is nothing short of a great beer, however dubious when it comes to representing itself within the paradigm of the classic, farmhouse style. Additionally, the $4/can pricepoint is a bit much, especially when you have to travel to the brewery in order to source a few cans. However, if you are looking for a bold DIPA fermented with a saison yeast strain, then this is your jam...but leave it calm its heals for a few weeks in order to appreciate the true complexity Woah Citra has to offer which has much to do with the hops as it does with the yeast.
