can to snifter.
LOOK: dark yellow-orange color; medium haze; creamy off-white head.
AROMA: coffee is over dominant; maybe some citrus in the background (guessing from first few sips), but I can't be sure.
TASTE: some tropical fruit(guava, mango) upfront; but quickly drowned out by coffee and cream. bitterness of coffee is off putting after the sweetness of the fruity font.
FEEL: medium to full body. creamy; super smooth.

4/11/20...cloudy hazy brownish gold. Dirty. Light ring of white foam. Sugary oats nose. Malty. Taste is a wallop of flavor. Coffee in the background, gets the oats and milky smoothness too. Clever!

Stone IRS snifter glass
Didn't really know what to expect here but this is a well executed brew. Pale, hazed and cloudy look with a soapy off white 2 finger wide head. I get the freshly brewed coffee with sugar and cream up front and a citrusy, floral, and lightly tropical IPA underneath. Somehow they play nicely together and it all works. Less coffee influence in the flavor but still present. Alcohol is incredibly well masked. Creamy full and lush on the palate. A very unique DIPA, probably not something I can session too much but really fun to give this one a whirl.

The nose on this is excellent, fresh brewed coffee. The taste is amazing, juice hit up front with the nice coffee finish. The coffee also hides the 9% well. Fantastic beer that I'm happy to hear will be brewed again. I've also found it to hold up extremely well. Cheers

I had this on draught at the brewery. One week old. It pours a hazy, tangerine color with a thin, ecru-colored head and lacing. It may look better if poured from a can at a slightly warmer temperature. The nose features freshly-brewed coffee, vanilla, and floral hops. This ale has a complex, and pleasing, taste. It features freshly-brewed coffee, sweet lactose, and flour which adds to the base flavor and the creaminess. There are subtle hop notes but they are subdued and there is no real bitterness at the finish. This ale has a pleasant, creamy mouth feel with moderate carbonation. I was surprised that the ABV is 9%; it's well masked. Overall, this DIPA is well-conceived and nicely executed. There is lots of flavor but nothing is overdone and the mouth feel is great. I'm sorry I missed out on the cans of this gem! Update: I just drank a can of this and, if anything, it's even better than on draught. The coffee blends so well with the hops. This is a first rate DIPA!

A - Opaque medium orange colored with a dense (but thin) white lacing ring, carbonation is little to none.
S - A mix of tropical fruit and coffee with the coffee aspect edging out the tropical fruit side of the nose. As it breathes more after the pour the aroma becomes more balanced and the fruit aspect more vinous.
T - Tropical fruit and coffee, no more, no less and with some tropical fruit resin on the backside. Finishes bittersweet with juicy and lingering tropical fruit on the backside with some coffee sprinkled over the top.
M - Quite big in texture: thick and silky with a slight hint of thinness on the very back end. Extremely dry finish.
O - 'Wasn't loving on this beer initially but now that I'm halfway through the can it's opening up and really growing on me. Magnify continues to defy the norm and continues to impress.

Traded for this a while ago and finally got around to having a full can tonight. I always thought that a breakfast beer was light but this was heavy enough to stay true to form, as the IPA aspects outweighed any coffee or lightness that could have stood out.
The pour to this was the best aspect of this beer as the hazy, apricot hue and sufficient head were pleasing from the get-go. Not a strong aroma here but there was a ton of tropical fruit sweetness and coffee mixed in there as well. The taste was there this got interesting as there was a lot of waffle, pancake, and thickness found here. While it made it feel like breakfast, the citrus and strong alcoholic presence kept me from considering this as an early morning choice. An onion and scallion-like spice made this interesting and the lack of carbonation kept this from going down as easily as it should have.
With all of the booze here, it met toe-to-toe with the potency here. Sure, there was lots of lacing to be seen and there was a nice slickness left behind but there was something just a bit off here. A nice IPA that reminded me of breakfast but wouldn't go along with the first meal of the day. A fun beer that's worth a go once just for something different!
