9/27/18...semi clear golden color with light layer of white foam. pine nose and oily. Hefty opening bitter, frim and strong. Slippery. Tongue scraping bitter. Minty background. Juicy and dry finish.

16 oz. undated can, throw-in on trade. Poured into Teku glass. Looks like less than a month old.
L: Hazy, light gold. 3F head with decent retention, but eventually leaves almost no lacing and just a thin ring.
S: Grapefruit, lemon peel, lime. Light malts and a bit of dankness as well. Light and subtle.
T: Almost exactly what nose says it is. Light citrus and lemongrass, some malt mid-palate, and an earthy, dank finish that nonetheless slowly builds and fades on back end.
F: Light bodied, moderately carbonated. Not as crisp and refreshing as it could be at this session ABV, as it tries to deliver a bit more taste and more IPA character than you'd expect.
O: It's good, but kind of caught between being a session IPA in some aspects and a more serious NE IPA in others.

This one is ok. I'm not crazy about the "hazy NE style yeast" that Magnify uses in every beer now and in this beer it's the most prominent flavor I taste. It tastes like a less good version of Low Visibility. Some citrus and weird earthy hoppiness and yeast. No burn but leaves an unpleasant aftertaste and is approaching that buttery diacetyl zone. nb

Traded for this recently and got around to it on this windy day off of work! This was a good session beer that was a bit too tart, spicy, and herbal but overall, I enjoyed this and would easily reach for another one when I needed a change from the heavier beers that I tend to prefer!
The pour and appearance were great to this beer as this had a golden and somewhat hazy appearance to it, with plenty of fluffy head that settled quickly, rings of soapy lacing, and a decent radiance to the liquid. Not a strong aroma to this but there was some lemon, grass, and herbal notes in the nose with more in the taste. Not a typical IPA, there was a good amount of citrus juice to keep this from feeling too sour and this almost reminded me of an ESB, because of the type of floral hops that were used. Dry and lightly carbonated, this went down nicely without leaving any odd aftertaste or burn whatsoever.
It wasn't full of flavor that stood out to me, but it would be easy to have another one of these in the same sitting. Session beers never rated too highly with me but this was one that I'd have again if it was released in the future. It just needed a slightly brighter flavor profile to it!

An amazing beer!
A very dank and citrus forward session ale that offers unique notes of lemon peel and tropical fruits that is supported by lemongrass, pine-needles and fresh herbs while still maintaining a round body and clean finish.
Arguably the best Session Ale is NJ.

Canned less than a week ago. A nice vibrant yellow pour from can to Teku glass, hazy with a nice fluffy head that fades away leaving scant lacing behind. Will see if any sticks around as the glass empties. Very nice lemony smell, almost shandy-like but with some distinct hop character and tropical fruit notes, more character when smelling out of the can than the glass. Initial flavor is grassy with some lemon tartness and a nice dry finish. Really enjoying this one...low ABV, this one would definitely be a great summertime/BBQ/outdoor drinking option if you are able to get your hands on it. I hope I'm not overdoing it for a local brewery...interested to read future reviews.

One of - if not the best under 5% ABV Brew I've had. Amazing flavor at 4.2, so smooth and full of citrus goodness. Boat has been the standard session beer in NJ for as long as I can remember but it now has a real challenge. This one really surprised me at such a low ABV - outstanding

I had this on its release day. Poured from 16 oz. can into Magnify tulip glass. It pours an opaque, straw-yellow color with almost greenish hues, and a relatively thin, milk-white head and lacing. The smell is primarily grapefruit, pine needles, and floral hops with a whiff of tangerine. This is a citrus-forward ale with lots of lemon peel, grapefruit, and pine. It's also nicely dank considering its low ABV. There is a slight sourness at the finish and not much residual bitterness. It is light, crisp, refreshing, and crushable at 4.2% ABV. Overall, this ale is an easy-drinker that would be great for warm weather activities. It doesn't have the hoppy character of some of the NJ APAs, e.g., Boat, Ripple, and Sneak Box but it plays in the same space. It will be interesting to see whether Magnify brings it back during the summer.
