Double Dry-Hopped Baby Sitter is a Double Dry-Hopped 4.2% IPA with Citra, Amarillo, Simcoe and Centennial. This beer has the exact same amount of hops per barrel as our mid range DDH IPAs, but has a lower ABV package. Sometimes we all have to be responsible but want some DDH goodness.

Decanting from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a Captain Lawrence muffin top taster glass; canned 07/02/20.
A: Pours a hazy, golden-orange color with a less than half finger, eggshell white head, rim retention, and basically no lacing.
S: Lights aromas of barley, honey, grapefruit, and lime predominate.
T: Semidry, if not dry (the fruit makes it difficult to tell). Flavor pallet a melange of the nose. Bitterness solid but not overpowering.
M: Light to medium bodied with relatively low carbonation. Not watery,
O: The industry is definitely focused on low ABV IPAs to extend the market. This was one of the most enjoyable and quaffable I have had to date.

A good beer and super drinkable with such a low ABV, but sacrifices a bit of taste for that low ABV. I like it and would much rather drink it ovr a BMC light beer (which has the same ABV), but I think Boat from Carton is a little bit better than this at the same ABV level.

Thanks goes out to DEdesings57 for this brew.
16 oz. Can
Poured into a Tired Hands glass a very nice cloudy pale yellow color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy two-finger plus white head, which also leaves some really nice creamy sticky lacing behind. The nose is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, grapefruit, pineapple, lemon), pretty nice little diesel like. The taste is really nice, hoppy, malty, with a really nice citrus complex (orange, lemon, grapefruit, pineapple), really nice little diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very well with this one, with a really nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very tasty brew. Surprised Me! Addictive! The best session IPA I've had to date. This would make Utah proud! Glad to have gotten a chance to try it. Thanks Dave!

Traded for this recently, after having the regular version of the Babysitter not that long ago. There wasnt a lot of difference between that and this and if you liked the original, this was a smoother version that didn't have much more intensity to it and exactly the same amount of alcohol. It's a relatively typical brew from Magnify that would please nearly anyone who tried it but didn't break any new ground in the process.
Not a bad pour to this as the beer had a fairly bright and straw hue to it. A few floaties settled to the bottom and the small head faded quickly as it loudly receded. No lacing was left behind as I worked my way through this and the aroma was quite faint as well - some onion and melon could be faintly detected here as they were a bit stronger in the taste. A faint tangerine juice came through in the taste and was the defining aspect of the mouthfeel. Some melon rind, lime pith, and earthy hops came through in the aftertaste but because this beer was so easygoing, none of them stood out to me or lasted for a long while.
Thankfully, this was a classic session beer and had there been another can here, I'd easily crack it open after finishing this off. The carbonation was also light, ensuring that what I tasted didn't get overshadowed. I wish this had more going for it but at least it was a change from Magnify's usual fare...
