We hopped this beer in the whirlpool and dry hop singularly and significantly with Galaxy hops. We also conditioned it on heaps of kiwi for an intense tropical fruit experience.

Traded for this a while ago, letting it get to the bottom of my stash as I finally got around to it today. While not a pure juice bomb, there was enough of that aspect in this beer to compensate for the dark, dank nature of it and underlying spice. If you like your beers murky, turbid, and mysterious, then this just might be the one for you!
Quite a muddled look to this beer as hardly any light shone through the liquid. A ton of lime and kiwi in the nose with lots of fruit from the other side of the world coming through, with some orange cream sweetness. Plenty more of that int the taste, along withe tropical fruit, tangerine, dank hops, pepper spice, and tropical pith thrown in for good measure. This finished quite heavy after the initial light and enjoyable impression I felt on my palate and the booze in here only added to the heavy-handed nature of this beer.
With very little carbonation and some honey sweetness in the mix, this was not a smooth sipper given my first impression. Some pine and forest notes came through as the aftertaste was a bit like that of a Wild Ale, with only a hint of sediment at the bottom of the liquid once I finished this off. Not a bad beer but be forewarned - it's not like it' s name implies as there was a hidden undertone to this that took a while to emerge. Worth a go once if you're into the style of beer that they're known for...

I had this on draught at the brewery on its release date. It pours an opaque, turbid pale yellow color with a foamy, milk-white head and lacing. I suspect the head would have been larger if served at a warmer temperature. You can smell the kiwi right away, along with lime and subtle Galaxy hops. The taste opens with a burst of tropical sweetness from the kiwi but it quickly turns bitter and hoppy. The finish is slightly astringent with discernible pepper. Despite its name this is no juice bomb. It features a medium body with pleasant carbonation and the 8.2% ABV is noticeable but not distracting. Overall, this DIPA is interesting and nicely balanced with tropical sweetness and hops, and there is a slight astringency which characterizes many Magnify offerings.
