Danksgiving is another 8% Imperial IPA. We stuffed this hazy treat with Simcoe in the whirlpool and Mosaic, Simcoe, Simcoe lupulin powder and Eureka! in the dry hop. We designed this beer to taste better around family and friends.

Pours a bright orange gold with a huge rocky white head, excellent retention and sheets of sticky lacing. Nose is grapefruit, pineapple, big pine resin and bitter hop. Taste follows suit with huge tropical flavors. Feel is full but not chewy or mouthcoating. Carbonation cuts the 8% right where I like it. Killer beer! 4/5

Quite hazy, if not entirely opaque. Excellent head production, retention, and lacing.
Impressively hoppy aroma, living up to its name. Bright herbs, moderate dankness, orange, papaya, mango, grapefruit.
None of the juiciness translates to the palate. This is all herbal: green, bright, dirty, and dank. Some grapefruit peel; quite bitter (in a good way). It's a shame, as those notes can add wonderful depth and complexity to an IIPA, but without a bit of malt sweetness and juicy hop expression, it's really missing some important balance.

Reviewed one day after can release. Poured into Magnify tulip glass. It pours a turbid, dirty gold color with a half finger of creamy, milk-white lacing and lots of soapy lacing inside the glass. It smells of lemon, grapefruit, resinous pine, and light floral hops. It has a very dank flavor of tart, bitter lemon and grapefruit rind, onion, and a touch of lactose/vanilla that becomes more apparent as the glass warms. The bill of Citra, Simcoe, Ekuanot, and Apollo hops is super flavorful and quite bitter. There is a noticeable yeast burn at the finish. This ale is full-bodied, almost chewy, with effervescent carbonation, and the 8% ABV is noticeable. Overall, it's a highly enjoyable, dank DIPA. It's precisely the type of ale which Magnify excels in brewing.

11/25/17...brewery fresh draft. Pours cloudy yellow gold, light layer of white foam. Citrus nose, mostly lemon. Fast citrus taste, light bitter burn. Enveloped in the rind flavor. Bitter builds throughout. Tremendously juicy and drinkable double IPA.
