can to snifter.
I am going to assume this is the same beer listed here. My can says "Double Dry Hopped" whereas the picture does not show it, but the description says it is DDH. I am assuming that Magnify is simply re-iterating that the beer is DDH on their new can design. If I find otherwise later, I'll move the rating accordingly.
LOOK: hazy yellow, big foamy eggshell head. very good retention.
AROMA: citrus, lemon, mold, grass.
TASTE: very leafy throughout, some grass and grapefruit, baking soda, light yeast and wheat/oat backbone.
FEEL: light to medium body, foamy (but not quite creamy) feel holds throughout.
Good, but the flavor is not there for me, despite having some of my favorite hops involved; though I am not too familiar with Apollo (outside of the Greek god or Mr. Creed). Some minor off notes and not enough kick for me. Otherwise, it is well crafted.

Pours golden with a one finger white head. Aroma peach and hops. Taste kiwi, orange juice, hops and mosaic. I really enjoyed this one.

Canned 4 days ago.
Pours medium-hazy deep gold with a finger of white head.
The nose is peach sorbet with a good amount of skunky hoppiness balancing it.
The taste opens with kiwi, OJ, and peach. A flash of malt mid-palate in the form of candied orange, and a hint of lingering hop matter. Balanced for a Magnify IIPA; this isn't overly hopped or sweet. The malt character melds seamlessly with the kiwi-forward hops, and there's only minor bitterness on the finish. The mouthfeel is medium.
Overall, 8.5/10. Balanced and enjoyable.

Reviewed on release day. Poured from 16 oz. can into Magnify tulip glass. It pours a turbid honey color with a frothy, milk-white head and lacing that dissipated quickly. The smell was mostly lemon peel with a whiff of peach and floral hops. The hops dominate the taste. It's a complex blend of Mosaic, Simcoe, Citra and Apollo, and the taste has almost a toast-like quality. The hops aren't particularly bitter but there is a touch of astringency at the finish. This ale is medium-bodied, moderately carbonated, and the 8% ABV poses no distraction. Overall, this is a nice DIPA but it's not equal to Magnify's best work
