Collaboration with Dancing Gnome

Tiny Basket is a collaboration with Dancing Gnome Brewing that was originally brewed and released in Pittsburgh earlier this year. We liked the result so much we decided to brew it here in NJ. This 8.3% beauty is saturated with multiple hop additions of Ella, Motueka and Waimea hops. Low on bitterness, big on body.

Solid DIPA, drank it a bit past its prime.

L - pours a dull darkish yellow. Not much going on except thick haze when held up to the light. Sticky, oily head. Typical Magnify!

S - bread and onions. Hints of garlic in there too. Resiny orange hop oils.

T - thick peach flavor. Coats the mouth. Touch of lemon, some lime, and some sweet melon candy. Reminds me of iwanttoBU, the infamous zero IBU DIPA. There's hoppiness, but not much bitterness. Weird. Some onions and orange marmalade, although not as pronounced as the nose. Doughy and just smooth all around.

F - creamy as can be. Extremely satisfying and fun to drink. Peppery carbonation, but the body is viscous and very very full.

O - I always enjoy these low IBU brews. They're fun as a guilty pleasure and are stupid drinkable. THe bitterness feels like it should be there, but it's just not, which can sometimes create the effect of something missing. Tasty, zesty, and oniony.

L-Looks like fresh Orange Juice........Hazy, cloudy, bright yellowish orange........1 finger head that settles into a white cap

S-Tropical and citrus hops.......lemon-lime are upfront with some sweet underlying hints of orange pineapple grapefruit.......

T-lemon-lime upfront with some bready / cracker flavors in the middle......lingering sweet citrus finish.......some peppery spice

F-crisp, tingly, tart......pillowy......refreshing....this would do the trick on a hot day by the beach...... medium bodied.....moderately carbed

O-great enjoyable brew......easily drinkable, leaves you wanting more.....hope they make this again

Many thanks to SammyJaxxxx for this can!

A - Pours an opaque yellow tan color with creamy white lacing.

S - Dank, pungent onion & garlic.

T - Dank and pungent garlic from start to finish with peppery spiciness.

M - Medium body with light pricklies and lingering onion/garlic/pepper.

O - This beer reminds me somewhat of the original Gubna recipe from Oskar Blues (back when it was good). Dig... this... beer. This one is a palate trasher (in a good way).

Reviewed on release day. Poured from 16 oz. can into Magnify cylindrical glass. It pours an opaque, golden yellow color with a full finger of pillowy bright white head and lacing that retained its integrity through the pour. The most prominent smell is lemon, along with subdued onion and floral hops. The taste opens with some sweet citrus and lime, along with cracker-like malt and a pleasant blend of tropical (Ella, Motueka, and Waimea) hops. The hops are quite tasty and only moderately bitter. They have no real bite and it finishes clean without any astringency. It features a very agreeable mouth feel with moderate carbonation, and the 8.3% ABV seems well hidden. Overall, this is another collaboration that is a clear winner. It was originally brewed and released in Pittsburgh and I'm glad that Dancing Gnome returned the favor.
