Tiny Glow is an 8% Imperial IPA. Perfection is like the tiny glow at the end of a tunnel that we are always striving for. For this beer, we were decided to do our take on a Vermont-Style Imperial IPA. This big Imperial IPA is double dry hopped with Citra, Amarillo, Centennial, Summit and Segal Hop Ranch High Oil Cascades.

I reviewed this on its release date. Poured from 16 oz. can into Magnify cylindrical glass. It pours a cloudy, honey-amber with a thick, foamy bright white head and extensive lacing. For a Magnify DIPA it has a surprisingly malty, cracker aroma. There's only a faint smell of citrus. The taste follows the nose; this is the most malt-forward Magnify DIPA I've reviewed. But behind the initial sweet, bready malt there's a rich mix of flavorful Citra, Amarillo, Centennial, Summit and Cascade hops. They are tasty and bitter but with a strong bite. This ale has a creamy mouth feel with only moderate carbonation, and the 8% ABV gives it character but doesn't overwhelm the tastes. Overall, this DIPA falls outside of Magnify's recent playbook of fruity, NE style and fruity, lactose-laden IPAs. It's described as "Vermont Style". It's more bitter than many southern style malty IPA's. Whatever it is, I like it. Most Magnify IPA's are better for casual quaffing. Tiny Glow would really pair well with a hearty winter meal after skiing or hiking.
