Before We Disappear is an 8% Imperial IPA brewed with our buds Pure Brewing .
Sometimes we all get into deeply reflective conversations, asking why we’re here, what this thing called life is all about and what we want to achieve before we disappear. This beer is made for those conversations.
For this profoundly cognitive Imperial IPA, we used Michigan Copper and Cashmere in the whirlpool and double dry hopped it with Mosaic, Mosaic Lupulin Powder, Cashmere and Michigan Copper. In a society built for autopilot and efficiency, don’t forget to stop, breathe and think.

Pours a hazy orange with a fairly well retaines o e inch white head that left many blotches of lacing. Smells and tastes of grapefruit, grapefruit rind, pine, lemon and a hint of malt. Very bitter, medium bodied and carbonated, dry finish.

Pale yellow, hazy body; thin yet rocky and soapy head. Old grapefruit rind aroma. Zesty old citrus fruit flavors; very bitter; light bread crust flavor; pine and booze notes. Heavy body; acidic and rip-snorting citrus tones.
I wouldn't say this is balanced per se, but it delivers some fine palate burning IBUs. Intense and engrossing.

L - pours a summery golden orange. Moderate on the haze scale with a small head that dissipates before my eyes.
S - sweet, buttery pineapple cream. Lemon candy.
T - interesting combination of buttery tropicalia and herbs. Heavy and sticky, tastes like the last third of a bag of popcorn. You can't stop, but you hate yourself all the same. Mosaic dough and wild berries. Lemonheads and tangerine. Dry, zesty finish.
F - soft and fuzzy. Nice fluffy heft and a soothing viscosity.
O - unique and different brew. Not your typical juice bomb, yet still has the same "juicy" feel. Tasty all the same.

Got in a BIF from MacMalt. 16 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy golden amber/light orange color with a 1 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of huge tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, coconut, berry, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, pine, wheat, white bread dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Incredible aromas with fantastic complexity and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, coconut, berry, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, pine, wheat, white bread dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, coconut, berry, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, wheat, white bread dough, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is an amazing DIPA! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish, never aggressive. Perfectly balanced juicy, vibrant, and dank hop complexity; nice sized bready malt backbone, but not overly sweet/heavy for the ABV. A highly enjoyable offering. Loved the Mosaic/Cashmere hop showcase as expected.

Reviewed two days after can release. Poured into Magnify tulip glass. It pours a cloudy tangerine color with a foamy, bright white and extensive, soapy lacing. It has a fruity nose with lemon, tangerine, honeydew melon, pine, a whiff of vanilla, and lovely, floral hops. Wow, there's a lot more bitter pine in the taste. It bites from the first sip but there's a nice tropical sweetness at the top of the palate and some vanilla at the finish. The hops bite but they're really tasty. It leaves a decidedly bitter, astringent, piny after taste. It's really good! This ale has a plush, creamy mouth feel with pleasant carbonation, and you can feel its 8% ABV. Overall, this is really good stuff!
