Pours a cloudy orange-tinted yellow with two-plus fingers of soupy, off-white head. Thick webbed lacing.
Orange juice, papaya, pineapple, wine grapes and a hint of herbs and white pepper.
The herbs come on much stronger in the taste, almost giving it a nutty character. The white wine and tropical fruit are also very present, along with a solid bitterness.
Medium bodied and creamy with moderate carbonation.
A tasty Nelson showcase that's a pleasure to try.

Reviewed on release day. Poured from 16 oz. can into Magnify tulip glass. It pours an opaque, dirty tangerine color with a full finger of frothy, bright white head and lacing that lasted through the pour. The nose features lemon, grapefruit, vanilla/lactose, light pine, and the unique smell of Nelson hops. Wow, this is delicious! The first thing I taste is vanilla and light citrus. The Nelson Sauvin hops are amazing: so flavorful yet delicate. There's little bitterness and no bite. The best aspect of this beer is its mouth feel; it's super creamy, silky, with just enough carbonation, and a punchy 8.5% ABV that gives it lots of substance. Overall, this is a great variation of Peak of Ripeness and simply a fabulous DIPA. This is Magnify at its best!
