French Toast is an 8% DIPA and the next iteration of our Breakfast DIPA series. French Toast was brewed with oats, maple syrup, lactose and cinnamon and dry hopped with Citra, Mosaic and El Dorado. The result is a complex unity of flavors that taste like your favorite weekend breakfast.

Awful. Had myself a taster out of curiousity, and i couldnt fathom having more than an ounce of this. It is not an IPA, or anything resembling an IPA. Why would anyone make this?

On draught at the brewery. Unfortunately, it was probably served too cold. It pours an opaque, dirty gold color with a thin, milk white head and lacing. It has a unique and aromatic nose featuring cinnamon, maple, lactose, and light floral hops. It has all of the advertised flavors: lots of maple and oats up front, nicely sweet, followed by cinnamon and oats. It finishes with a dose of fairly bitter Citra, Mosaic and El Dorado hops. In fact, as the glass warms there is a touch of astringency. It's medium-bodied with moderate carbonation, and it seems especially potent for 8% ABV. While I'm generally not a proponent of IPAs that emulate breakfast, this one really does taste like french toast.
