Reviewed one day after can release. Poured into Magnify pint glass. It pours a cloudy, dirty gold color with a large, fluffy, bright white head with long retention leaving soapy lacing. The fragrant nose features lemon, grapefruit, onion, and subtle honeydew melon. It has a really fine, dank taste of tart lemon and grapefruit with a touch of lemon, particularly as the glass warms. The blend of Mosaic, Citra, Amarillo, and El Dorado hops is flavorful but also bitter with a bite. There's a bit of astringent burn at the finish. The feel is an intriguing combination of dry, crisp, and dank, with pleasant carbonation, and you can feel the 8% ABV. Overall, Whatever, Man is a gem: it manages to combine dankness, crispness, and lots of flavor. A little more melon would improve it but I'm splitting hairs. This is a fine DIPA!
