Onyx black on the pour, the dark tan head never gains appreciable volume, especially for an imperial stout. The maple syrup is dominant on the nose, and there’s also some vanilla notes.

The taste is squared up on the maple flavors - the best I’ve ever experienced. If the mouthfeel was a bit fuller, this would be beyond world-class, IMHO.

L - 1-finger mocha head rapidly dissolves into a thin ring around the edge of the glass. Body is pitch black.

S - pancakes! Maple, vanilla, brown sugar, chocolate.

T - maple for days. Tastes like a breakfast short-stack in Vermont. Syrup, vanilla, chocolate icing, molasses, caramel. A little bit of artificial (splenda) sweetness on the finish. No bitterness. Moderate-high sweetness. No booziness.

F - medium body with minimal carb.

O - my teeth hurt drinking this, but I’m not complaining.

Mahogany black with a fat finger of creamy mocha-colored foam. Minimal lacing.

Humongous maple cream candy in the aroma with some dry roasted malts and faint whiffs of coffee and chocolate behind.

The taste is very maple syrup-forward, but less sugary than I expected off the nose. The dry roasted malts have almost a peanut quality to them. There's a little brownie batter and just a hint of hop bitterness.

Full bodied with an oily feel.

This has as much maple in it as any beer I can recall. It's extremely sweet and will likely give you diabetes, but it still manages to avoid being sickeningly sweet. I consider that an accomplishment.

Wonderful aroma loads of Maple Syrup both on the nose as well as right up front when sipped. No booziness at all, the 12% is well hidden. Smooth n tasty with coffee in the background. The Maple is wonderful. Fairly thick with good mouthfeel.

Pours pretty dark, you can create a head with an aggressive pour, but it dissappates quickly. Huge maple syrup aroma with some coffee mixed in. Very flavorful, lots of maple syrup, very sweet, some chocolate and coffee mixed in there too. A little on the thin side, but it tastes great.

Reviewed 3 days after release date. Poured into tulip glass. It pours a deep mahogany with cola hues. The mocha-colored head dissipated almost immediately. What a smell! Tons of maple syrup, along with roasted malt, burnt coffee, caramel, and nuts. The flavor is rich and decadent: the first taste are fresh maple syrup and cocoa followed by burnt coffee, roasted malt, and nuts. There is the slightest of bitterness at the finish. All are bold but they blend very well. The feel is a bit thin for a big stout, with low carbonation. The 12% ABV is well-hidden. Overall, this is a highly flavorful stout. My issue is the rather thin mouth feel and the lack of any head. In that regard, Sinister Prime Minister reminds me of Magnify's Yertl but with more flavor.
