9/27/18...thick hazy look with a light ring of white foam. Fruity nose, biscuity aroma. Toasty, flavorful, some breads. Hidden fruits too. Sneaky 8.5 closes out the beer (and closes you out as well)

Very hazy, bordering on murky, the color of overripe grapefruit, propping up a significant off-white head. The nose is filled with dank tropical citrus notes, the primary aroma leaning to the oniony side of the olfactory scale - dare I say a Mosaic sledgehammer?

The first draw confirms that lean toward Mosaic, with pungent citrus hops overwhelming the palate, not a surprise with a triple dry-hopped DIPA. This is not for the meek- if you don’t love the Mosaic hop, avoid at all costs.

Fortunately, I love the Mosaic hop.

L - 3x hopped? Man, that's why Magnify beers are so expensice. Pours a dark frozen orange. Milky haze with a huge-bubbled head that quickly disappears.

S - massive bready onions as I poured this. Closer inspection reveals a sweeter, candied aroma. Peach candy, orange slices, Lemonheads, and grape gumdrops.

T - doughy and almost tart in its bready bitterness. Feels heavy on the mosaic. Deep grapefruit spice and onions doused in hop oils. Despite all the sharp flavors, it's surprisingly soft with an encompassing creamsicle fullness. Warm and toasty. Finish is bitter acidity and scallions. Dry.

F - feels a little heavier like a DIPA should. Low carbonation and creamy viscosity.

O - this is a powerful onion beer. Lots of hops like advertised on the tin, but there is more depth once you sit down with it. Sweet, saturated, and satisfying.

Not much information on the label as to the contents of within the can. A beer that is triple dry hopped has the potential for Armageddon in the mouth. The beer is 45 degrees and served in a tulip glass. An immense amount of citrus emitted after I opened the can. The gentle pour produced a two finger head. The is airy and foamy with good retention. The color of the beer is SRM 4 a pale gold with amber hues. Clarity of the beer is hazy, due to yeast. The head tatted a small amount of lacing on the glass as the head dissipated. Overall the appearance is within parameters for this style.

The aromas in the beer are mandarin oranges, lemon zest, herbal, floral, grass, toasted malt, tropical, yeasty, and honey.

The flavors in the beer are lemons, oranges, floral, grass, toasted malts, pineapple, tropical, yeasty, honey, and a touch of pine.

The mouthfeel of the beer is astringent and crisp.

The body of the beer is medium, medium-plus carbonation, and a long finish.

The beer has a pleasant crisp note that carries through. The NEIPA is an excellent example of this style. Bright flavors and a sturdy malt backbone gives this beer definition.
