Man and Machine is a new 8% DDH Imperial IPA brewed with Naked Golden Oats for subtle nuttiness, increased creaminess and mouthfeel, and slight caramel character. We then double dry hopped with Simcoe, Amarillo and Citra.

14 oz. pour at the brewery on release day. The color is opaque, dirty gold with orange hues, and a small, milk-white cap and thin sheen of lacing. The nose includes lemon peel, onion, pine, and light floral hops. While it's not a strong aroma, it's appealing. The taste opens tart and bitter with lemon, lime, grapefruit, and a nice cracker malt base. The bill of Simcoe, Amarillo, and Citra hops provides lots of flavor and bitterness but without a strong bite. As the glass warms there is more noticeable cracker malt which adds a touch of sweetness to the otherwise bitter ale. It's well-balanced and finishes clean and without any yeast burn. While it has lively carbonation, the mouth feel is pleasant and it goes down very easily despite the 8% ABV. Overall, this ale grew on me as I drank it. It has a nice, full flavor and a great feel. It will be interesting to see how it develops in the can for a week or two.
