Reviewed one week after can release. Poured into a Magnify stemless glass. It pours an opaque, dirty apricot color with over a finger of fluffy, milk-white head and a soapy film of lacing. Its fragrant nose features tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, onion, light pine, and floral hops. The taste opens with orange/tangerine, lemon, and lactose/vanilla. The bill of Mosaic, Ella, and Simcoe hops is super flavorful but only moderately bitter. It's a great balance of sweet and tart fruit, lactose, and hops. It's more delicate than many of Magnify's DIPAs and there is no yeast burn at the finish. My guess is that a week in the can mellowed it. It's extremely tasty and has a nice full mouth feel with moderate carbonation. With an ABV of 8%, you'll want a second pour. Overall, Common Misconceptions is one of my favorite Magnify DIPAs. It's highly flavorful but also delicate and easy to drink. That's a winning combination!
